MDC proposing Wildlife Code changes


JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation has proposed changes to the Wildlife Code of Missouri in regards to coyote hunting and feral hog control.

MDC Deputy Director Aaron Jeffries told KXCV/KRNW that the first change would allow the use of infrared thermal technology for hog control without the consent of an agent.

Jeffries adds that the proposed changes will be considered for final approval in September. He encourages public comment on the changes from July 2 to July 31 online at short.mdc.mo.gov/z49.
